I just love being stimulated by color and pattern. I originally thought, I’m going to keep this place stark, like the Olsen twins, but that lasted about 15 minutes. Then I called my friend Eric and said, “Can you paint me 15 giant mobiles?” and brought in paintings and posters and punk rock junk.
It’s a big space [that used to be] an automotive shop. It’s primarily our work space, so that has been our number one priority. I don’t feel like it’s really where I want it to be, but I haven’t had a minute’s time to devote to it, so I’ve kind of done what I could in kind of obvious strokes—a silver paillette sofa and 15 Moroccan rugs can fill up a space pretty easily and effortlessly.
